Maine High School Volleyball - Scarborough tips Thornton Academy

In Thursday's league challenge, the host Scarborough Red Storm volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Thornton Academy Trojans.

The Red Storm (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Gorham (Gorham, ME). The Rams come into the Class A test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Gorham nudged Cheverus (Portland, ME), 3-2, in a league test.

The Trojans now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Windham for a Class A test on Tuesday, October 14. Thornton Academy will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Deering (Portland, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 2-9.
