In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host St. Charles Catholic Comets volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Willow Lions.

The Comets (9-12) will now prepare for their challenge against St. James (St. James, LA). The Wildcats go into the Division IV District 9 test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, St. James tipped Donaldsonville (Donaldsonville, LA), 3-0, in a league test.

The Lions now own a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy for a Division II District 9 test on Monday, October 13.
