October 9, 2025: Verndale, MN 56481 Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines (Wadena, MN) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Verndale Pirates (Verndale, MN), 3-0 in a league test.
With the win, Wadena-Deer Creek advances its record to 12-7 on the season. The Wolverines travel to New York Mills (New York Mills, MN) to face the Eagles in a Park Region test on Tuesday, October 14. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 2-15. New York Mills lost 3-1 in their recent league test against Menahga (Menahga, MN)
The Pirates now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Laporte for a non-league outing on Monday, October 13. Verndale will play a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 league win over Clearbrook-Gonvick (Clearbrook, MN). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-6.
