North Carolina High School Football - Shelby smashes Highland Tech

October 1, 2021: Gastonia, NC 28052

The Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) football routed the host Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), 72-0 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Golden Lions face the Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 8. Shelby will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Chargers enter the bout with a 4-1 record after their 27-26 league win over South Point (Belmont, NC).

The Rams (0-6) will now prepare for their bout against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen enter the 1A/2A West Conference 40 bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, Cherryville was overwhelmed by Patton (Morganton, NC), 22-14, in a non-league bout.
