The Crossroads Christian Crusaders held off the visiting Newman Central Catholic Comets volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Crusaders now have a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Morris for a non-league test on Monday, October 3. Crossroads Christian will confront a Redskins team coming off a 2-0 league win over Sycamore (Sycamore, IL). The Redskins record now stands at 19-4.

The Comets (17-4) will now prepare for their test against Dixon (Dixon, IL). The Dukes & Duchesses enter the non-league test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Dixon was nudged by Oregon (Oregon, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
