October 1, 2022: Gonzales, LA 70737 In Saturday's non-league contest, the Westminster Academy Crusaders (Opelousas, LA) volleyball squad knocked off the host East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA), by a margin of 2-0.
Next up, the Crusaders battle the Notre Dame Pioneers (Crowley, LA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 4. Westminster Academy will attempt to better on its 19-4 season record. The Pioneers come into the contest with a 3-7 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Mandeville (Mandeville, LA).
With the loss, East Ascension drops to 2-6 on the campaign. The Spartans host Dutchtown (Geismar, LA) to battle the Griffins in a Division I District 4 contest on Monday, October 3. The Griffins come into the contest with a record of 13-7. Dutchtown won 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Cabrini (New Orleans, LA)
