Ohio High School Soccer - Canfield knocks off Memorial
October 1, 2023: St. Marys, OH 45885 Canfield Cardinals (Canfield, OH) boosters exited the stadium in high spirits Sunday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Memorial Roughriders (St. Marys, OH), 5-0 in a non-league outing.
With the win, Canfield advances its record to 13-0 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Howland (Warren, OH) to battle the Tigers in a All-American outing on Monday, October 2. The Tigers go into the outing with a record of 10-3. Howland won 2-0 in their recent league outing against Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, OH)
In their next game, the Roughriders battle the Elida Bulldogs (Elida, OH) in a Western Buckeye outing, on Tuesday, October 3. Memorial will attempt to advance on its 8-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a 10-3 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Fort Jennings (Fort Jennings, OH).
