Illinois High School Soccer - Argenta-Oreana toppled by Calvary
October 1, 2024: Argenta, IL 62501 Calvary Saints (Springfield, IL) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Argenta-Oreana Bombers (Argenta, IL), 8-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Calvary advances its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Beardstown (Beardstown, IL) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league test on Monday, October 7. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 11-3. Beardstown lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL)
The Bombers now have a 1-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond for a non-league test on Thursday, October 3. Argenta-Oreana will clash with a Knights team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to St. Anthony (Effingham, IL). The Knights record now stands at 1-9.
