October 1, 2025: Shelby, NC 28152 Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC) and the host Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC), saw Lincolnton's soccer squad knock off Shelby by a count of 3-0.
The Wolves (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Burns tipped Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC), 1-0, in a non-league match.
The Golden Lions now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Crest for a non-league match on Thursday, October 2. Shelby will meet a Chargers team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 1-7.
