Georgia High School Softball - Lowndes can't get by Bacon County
October 10, 2022: Valdosta, GA 31601 In Monday's non-league contest, the Bacon County Raiders (Alma, GA) softball team held off the host Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA), by a margin of 5-4.
With the triumph, Bacon County moves its record to 16-3 on the year. The Raiders travel to Irwin County (Ocilla, GA) to play the Indians in a 1A D-I Region 1 contest on Tuesday, October 11. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 14-9. Irwin County lost 14-2 in their recent non-league contest against Southwest Georgia Academy (Damascus, GA)
In their next game, the Vikings play the Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets (Thomasville, GA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, October 12. Lowndes will attempt to move on its 17-7 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the contest with a 15-14 record after their 8-2 league loss to Veterans (Kathleen, GA).
