Virginia High School Volleyball - Nansemond River edged by Menchville
October 10, 2022: Suffolk, VA 23434 The Menchville Monarchs held off the host Nansemond River Warriors volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Monday's non-league test.
The Monarchs now have a 14-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodside for a Peninsula test on Tuesday, October 11. Menchville will confront a Wolverines team coming off a 3-0 league win over Gloucester (Gloucester, VA). The Wolverines record now stands at 7-3.
The Warriors (6-9) will now prepare for their test against Lakeland (Suffolk, VA). The Cavaliers enter the Southeastern test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, Lakeland was nudged by Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA), 3-0, in a league test.
