October 10, 2023: Flint Hill, VA 22640 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Eastern Mennonite Flames (Harrisonburg, VA) and the host Wakefield Country Day Owls (Flint Hill, VA), saw Eastern Mennonite's soccer squad triumph over Wakefield Country Day by a count of 10-0.
The Flames now hold a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Woodberry Forest for a non-league test on Friday, October 13. Eastern Mennonite will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to Collegiate (Richmond, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-6.
With the loss, Wakefield Country Day drops to 5-4 on the season. The Owls host Fresta Valley Christian (Marshall, VA) to meet the Pioneers in a non-league test on Thursday, October 12. The Pioneers come into the test with a record of 2-7. Fresta Valley Christian won 4-1 in their recent league test against United Christian Academy (Stanardsville, VA)
