Illinois High School Soccer - Springfield knocks off Springfield Southeast
October 10, 2023: Springfield, IL 62704 Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Springfield Southeast Spartans (Springfield, IL), 9-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Senators confront the Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 12. Springfield will attempt to better on its 19-2 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 3-1 league win over Geneseo (Geneseo, IL).
The Spartans now have a 0-17 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alton for a non-league challenge on Saturday, October 14. Springfield Southeast will confront a Redbirds team coming off a 2-2 non-league Granite City (Granite City, IL). The Redbirds record now stands at 5-12.
