October 10, 2023: Belle Plaine, MN 56011 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Belle Plaine Tigers (Belle Plaine, MN) and the visiting Mankato West Scarlets (Mankato, MN), saw Belle Plaine's volleyball squad nip Mankato West by a tally of 3-2.
With the win, Belle Plaine upgrades its record to 13-4 on the year. The Tigers host Sibley East (Arlington, MN) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 12. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 8-12.
The Scarlets now own a 12-9 record. They play next when they travel to John Marshall for a Big 9 bout on Thursday, October 12. Mankato West will play a Rockets squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Mayo (Rochester, MN). The Rockets record now stands at 12-10.
