October 10, 2023: Springfield, OR 97478 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Thurston Colts (Springfield, OR) and the visiting Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR), saw Thurston's volleyball squad beat Willamette by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Thurston upgrades its record to 15-4 on the year. The Colts host North Eugene (Eugene, OR) to play the Highlanders in a 5A Midwestern bout on Thursday, October 12. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 4-16.
The Wolverines now own a 0-14 record. They play next when they host Grants Pass for a 6A Southwest bout on Thursday, October 12. Willamette will play a Cavemen squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to North Medford (Medford, OR). The Cavemen record now stands at 9-12.
