Alabama High School Football - Edgewood Academy falls to Banks Academy
October 10, 2024: Birmingham, AL 35206 The Banks Academy Jets felled the visiting Edgewood Academy Wildcats football team by a score of 28-20 in Thursday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Jets play the Chambers Academy Rebels (LaFayette, AL) in a AISA AAA Region 1 challenge, on Friday, October 18. Banks Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Rebels go into the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 39-0 non-league win over Evangel Christian (Alabaster, AL).
The Wildcats (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Bessemer Academy (Bessemer, AL). The Rebels go into the AISA AAA Region 1 challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Bessemer Academy was dropped by Valiant Cross Academy (Montgomery, AL), 34-26, in a league challenge.
