Hopewell Valley Central Bulldogs (Pennington, NJ) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the host Burlington Township Falcons (Burlington, NJ), 13-12 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Hopewell Valley Central improves its record to 7-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host Steinert (Hamilton, NJ) to play the Spartans in a West Jersey - Capitol battle on Friday, October 18. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 3-3. Steinert won 10-0 in their recent non-league battle against Moorestown (Moorestown, NJ)

The Falcons now have a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Northern Burlington for a West Jersey - Independence battle on Saturday, October 19. Burlington Township will play a Greyhounds team coming off a 18-17 non-league win over Trenton Central (Trenton, NJ). The Greyhounds record now stands at 4-3.
