October 10, 2024: Livingston, NJ 07039 The King Vikings football squad scored 35 points and limited the host Newark Academy Minutemen to 20 in the Vikings league triumph on Thursday.
The Vikings now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Horace Mann for a Metropolitan Independent test on Saturday, October 19. King will meet a Lions squad coming off a 14-6 league loss to Dalton (New York, NY). The Lions record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, Newark Academy drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Minutemen travel to Hopkins (New Haven, CT) to meet the Hilltoppers in a Metropolitan Independent test on Saturday, October 19. The Hilltoppers come into the test with a record of 2-3. Hopkins lost 45-7 in their recent league test against Montclair Kimberley Academy (Montclair, NJ)
