The Matawan Regional Huskies edged the visiting Ocean Township Spartans football team by a score of 7-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Huskies face the St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 18. Matawan Regional will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Lancers enter the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 52-20 league win over Manasquan (Manasquan, NJ).
