Maryland High School Football - Winters Mill nips South Carroll
October 10, 2024: Sykesville, MD 21784 The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Winters Mill Falcons (Westminster, MD) and the host South Carroll Cavaliers (Sykesville, MD), witnessed Winters Mill's football squad edge South Carroll by a tally of 32-26.
The Falcons (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Springbrook (Silver Spring, MD). The Blue Devils come into the non-league test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Springbrook edged Northwood (Silver Spring, MD), 55-0, in a league test.
With the defeat, South Carroll drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Liberty (Sykesville, MD) to clash with the Lions in a Carroll County test on Friday, October 18. The Lions come into the test with a record of 4-2. Liberty won 32-7 in their recent non-league test against Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV)
