In their next game, the Cowboys face the Cheyenne Desert Shields (North Las Vegas, NV) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, October 16. Chaparral will attempt to improve on its 6-0 season record. The Desert Shields go into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 48-0 non-league loss to Mojave (North Las Vegas, NV).
The Pioneers (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Somerset Academy Losee (North Las Vegas, NV). The Lions go into the challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Somerset Academy Losee bounced Cimarron-Memorial (Las Vegas, NV), 39-6, in a league challenge.
