October 10, 2024: Alexandria, VA 22314 Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC), 2-1 in a league test.
With the win, Bishop Ireton improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Cardinals travel to The Academy of the Holy Cross (Kensington, MD) to face the Tartans in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 16. The Tartans go into the test with a record of 3-1.
The Cadets now own a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Our Lady of Good Counsel for a test on Wednesday, October 16. St. John's will face a Falcons squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD). The Falcons record now stands at 4-10.
