October 10, 2024: Emporia, KS 66801 The Emporia Spartans soccer squad scored 8 points and held the visiting Pittsburg Dragons to 0 in the Spartans non-league victory on Thursday.
The Spartans now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they host St. Mary's Academy for a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 22.
With the loss, Pittsburg moves to 3-8 on the year. The Dragons host Field Kindley (Coffeyville, KS) to play the Golden Tornado in a Southeast Kansas bout on Monday, October 14. The Golden Tornado go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Field Kindley won 6-2 in their recent non-league bout against Circle (Towanda, KS)
