The Huntington Highlanders volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Russell Red Devils to 1 in the Highlanders non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Highlanders now have a 8-10 record. They play next when they travel to Wayne for a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 15. Huntington will play a Pioneers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV). The Pioneers record now stands at 13-14.

With the loss, Russell drops to 12-13 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Fairview (Ashland, KY) to play the Eagles in a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 15.
