Texas High School Football - New Home trounces Abernathy
October 10, 2025: New Home, TX 79383 In Friday's league match, the host New Home Leopards football squad scored a decisive 39-0 victory over the Abernathy Antelopes.
The Leopards (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Floydada (Floydada, TX). The Whirlwinds enter the 2A-1 Region I District 2 match with a 0-6 record. In their last match, Floydada was routed by Olton (Olton, TX), 56-0, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Antelopes confront the New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX) in a 2A-1 Region I District 2 match, on Friday, October 17. Abernathy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 3-2 record after their 34-20 league win over Post (Post, TX).
