The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA) and the visiting Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), witnessed Jefferson Forest's football squad topple Amherst County by a count of 41-13.

The Cavaliers (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Glass (Lynchburg, VA). The Hilltoppers enter the Seminole match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Glass was beaten by Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA), 42-3, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Lancers confront the Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA) in a Seminole match, on Friday, October 17. Amherst County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Pioneers enter the match with a 5-1 record after their 32-0 league win over Brookville (Lynchburg, VA).
