In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Benedictine Bengals football squad scored a good 53-23 triumph over the Cathedral Prep Ramblers.

The Bengals (7-1) will now prepare for their match against Villa Angela-St. Joseph (Cleveland, OH). The Vikings come into the Freelance match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Villa Angela-St. Joseph defeated Centennial (Columbus, OH), 57-6, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Ramblers confront the General McLane Lancers (Edinboro, PA) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 17. Cathedral Prep will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Lancers go into the battle with a 7-1 record after their 49-20 league win over Meadville (Meadville, PA).
