October 10, 2025: Kermit, TX 79745 The Big Spring Steers football squad scored 49 points and limited the host Kermit Yellow Jackets to 14 in the Steers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Steers now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Andrews for a 4A-1 Region I District 3 test on Friday, October 24. Big Spring will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 34-12 non-league loss to Bushland (Bushland, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-5.
With the defeat, Kermit drops to 1-5 on the year. The Yellow jackets travel to Lamesa (Lamesa, TX) to face the Tornadoes in a 3A-1 Region I District 2 challenge on Friday, October 24. The Tornadoes enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. Lamesa won 63-33 in their recent non-league challenge against River Road (Amarillo, TX)
