Elmwood-Murdock Knights (Murdock, NE) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Cedar Bluffs Wildcats (Cedar Bluffs, NE), 66-18 in a league battle.

With the win, Elmwood-Murdock improves its record to 6-1 on the season. The Knights travel to Weeping Water (Weeping Water, NE) to play the Indians in a D2 District 1 (8 Man) match on Friday, October 17. The Indians come into the match with a record of 5-2. Weeping Water won 60-0 in their recent league match against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer (Humboldt, NE)

Coming up next, the Wildcats meet the Sacred Heart Irish (Falls City, NE) in a D2 District 1 (8 Man) match, on Friday, October 17. Cedar Bluffs will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Irish come into the match with a 1-6 record after their 65-26 non-league loss to Freeman (Adams, NE).
