Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ), 43-3 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Desert Mountain improves its record to 6-1 on the season. The Wolves host Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ) to play the Firebirds in a 5A Northeast Valley battle on Friday, October 17. The Firebirds go into the battle with a record of 3-3. Chaparral 21-21 in their recent league battle against Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ)

The Nighthawks now have a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Vista Grande for a 5A Sonoran battle on Friday, October 17. Ironwood Ridge will play a Spartans team coming off a 34-0 league loss to Buena (Sierra Vista, AZ). The Spartans record now stands at 2-5.
