The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Mt. Whitney Pioneers (Visalia, CA) and the host El Diamante Miners (Visalia, CA), saw Mt. Whitney's football team prevail over El Diamante by a final score of 43-20.

With the win, Mt. Whitney advances its record to 1-6 on the season. The Pioneers host Monache (Porterville, CA) to encounter the Marauders in a East Yosemite bout on Friday, October 17. The Marauders go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Monache lost 35-13 in their recent league bout against Redwood (Visalia, CA)

The Miners now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they travel to Porterville for a East Yosemite bout on Friday, October 17. El Diamante will encounter a Panthers team coming off a 49-39 league win over Golden West (Visalia, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-2.
