Illinois High School Football - Southwestern thwarted by Fulton
October 10, 2025: Fulton, IL 61252 Fulton Steamers (Fulton, IL) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Southwestern Wildcats (Hazel Green, WI), 56-40 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Fulton advances its record to 2-5 on the season. The Steamers travel to Morrison (Morrison, IL) to play the Mustangs in a Northwest Upstate Illini battle on Friday, October 17. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 1-6. Morrison won 48-16 in their recent league battle against Dakota (Dakota, IL)
The Wildcats now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Benton/Scales Mound IL/Shullsburg for a non-league battle on Friday, October 17. Southwestern will play a team coming off a 28-7 non-league loss to Mineral Point (Mineral Point, WI). The record now stands at 1-7.
