New York High School Football - Greene thwarted by Newark Valley
October 10, 2025: Newark Valley, NY 13811 Newark Valley Cardinals (Newark Valley, NY) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Greene Trojans (Greene, NY), 41-22 in a league battle.
With the win, Newark Valley improves its record to 2-3 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Spencer-Van Etten/Candor (Spencer, NY) to play the Eagles in a Section 4 D-2 battle on Friday, October 17. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 3-2. Spencer-Van Etten/Candor lost 28-6 in their recent league test against Charles O. Dickerson (Trumansburg, NY)
With the defeat, Greene drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Trojans host Groton (Groton, NY) to meet the Red Hawks in a Section 4 D-2 test on Friday, October 17. The Red Hawks come into the test with a record of 2-3. Groton lost 34-22 in their recent league test against Tioga (Tioga Center, NY)
