In Friday's league game, the Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA) football team edged the visiting Rustburg Red Devils (Rustburg, VA), by a tally of 34-29.

In their next game, the Minutemen battle the Brookville Bees (Lynchburg, VA) in a Seminole outing, on Friday, October 17. Liberty will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Bees come into the outing with a 3-3 record after their 32-0 league loss to Heritage (Lynchburg, VA).
