New Jersey High School Football - Matawan Regional triumphant over Long Branch

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Matawan Regional Huskies (Aberdeen, NJ) and the visiting Long Branch Green Wave (Long Branch, NJ), witnessed Matawan Regional's football squad wallop Long Branch by a tally of 42-0.

The Huskies (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against Middletown North (Middletown, NJ). The Lions go into the Shore - A North bout with a 2-3 record. In their last bout, Middletown North was crushed by Central Regional (Bayville, NJ), 20-17, in a non-league bout.

The Green Wave now own a 0-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Regional for a non-league battle on Friday, October 17. Long Branch will play a Golden Eagles team coming off a 27-7 league win over Toms River South (Toms River, NJ). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 6-1.
