Illinois High School Football - Marian Catholic loses to St. Francis

St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Marian Catholic Spartans (Chicago Heights, IL), 42-20 in a non-league battle.

With the win, St. Francis upgrades its record to 5-2 on the year. The Spartans travel to DePaul College Prep (Chicago, IL) to confront the Rams in a non-league match on Friday, October 17. The Rams enter the match with a record of 2-5. DePaul College Prep lost 54-14 in their recent non-league match against Carmel (Mundelein, IL)

Coming up next, the Spartans confront the Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 17. Marian Catholic will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Celtics go into the battle with a 5-2 record after their 21-20 non-league win over Loyola Academy (Wilmette, IL).
