Naperville Central Redhawks (Naperville, IL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL), 28-21 in a league battle.

With the win, Naperville Central improves its record to 2-5 on the season. The Redhawks host Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL) to play the Vikings in a Southwest Valley - Blue battle on Friday, October 17. The Vikings go into the battle with a record of 3-4. Homewood-Flossmoor lost 42-14 in their recent league match against Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL)

Coming up next, the Mustangs meet the Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 17. Metea Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Porters come into the match with a 4-3 record after their 28-7 non-league win over Sandburg (Orland Park, IL).
