New York High School Football - Port Byron thwarted by Oswego
October 10, 2025: Oswego, NY 13126 Oswego Bucs (Oswego, NY) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Port Byron Panthers (Port Byron, NY), 36-6 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Oswego improves its record to 1-5 on the season. The Bucs host Sherburne-Earlville (Sherburne, NY) to meet the Timberwolves in a Section 3 A/B/C - 2 match on Saturday, October 18. The Timberwolves come into the match with a record of 0-6. Sherburne-Earlville lost 51-20 in their recent league match against Birdlebough (Phoenix, NY)
Coming up next, the Panthers meet the Weedsport Wolverines (Weedsport, NY) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 24. Port Byron will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Wolverines come into the match with a 4-2 record after their 26-19 non-league loss to Adirondack (Boonville, NY).
