Maryland High School Football - Quince Orchard holds off Sherwood
October 10, 2025: Gaithersburg, MD 20878 The Quince Orchard Cougars (Gaithersburg, MD) football edged the visiting Sherwood Warriors (Sandy Spring, MD), 35-28 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Cougars face the Clarksburg Coyotes (Clarksburg, MD) in a Class 4A West game, on Thursday, October 16. Quince Orchard will attempt to better on its 6-0 season record. The Coyotes enter the game with a 3-3 record after their 20-6 non-league win over Rockville (Rockville, MD).
The Warriors (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Wootton (Rockville, MD). The Patriots enter the non-league game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Wootton was nipped by Richard Montgomery (Rockville, MD), 21-12, in a non-league outing.
