Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors (Damascus, GA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders (Lyons, GA), 16-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Southwest Georgia Academy advances its record to 5-3 on the season. The Warriors travel to Trinity Christian (Dublin, GA) to play the Crusaders in a battle on Friday, October 17. The Crusaders go into the battle with a record of 5-3. Trinity Christian lost 41-0 in their recent league match against Southland Academy (Americus, GA)

Coming up next, the Crusaders confront the Southland Academy Raiders (Americus, GA) in a GIAA AA/A District 3 match, on Friday, October 17. Robert Toombs Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Raiders go into the battle with a 6-2 record after their 41-0 league win over Trinity Christian (Dublin, GA).
