The Sundown Roughnecks football squad scored 47 points and limited the host Smyer Bobcats to 0 in the Roughnecks league triumph on Friday.

The Roughnecks now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Plains for a 2A-2 Region I District 3 test on Friday, October 17. Sundown will face a Cowboys team coming off a 31-7 league loss to Seagraves (Seagraves, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-4.

The Bobcats (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Ropes (Ropesville, TX). The Eagles enter the 2A-2 Region I District 3 game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Ropes overwhelmed Tahoka (Tahoka, TX), 30-0, in a league game.
