Illinois High School Football - Leo thwarted by St. Rita
October 10, 2025: Chicago, IL 60620 St. Rita Mustangs (Chicago, IL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Leo Lions (Chicago, IL), 30-12 in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now hold a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Patrick for a non-league test on Friday, October 17. St. Rita will meet a Shamrocks squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over St. Laurence (Burbank, IL). The Shamrocks record now stands at 4-3.
With the defeat, Leo drops to 5-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL) to face the Dons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, October 18. The Dons go into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Niles Notre Dame lost 49-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Brother Rice (Chicago, IL)
