In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Coronado Islanders volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Valley Christian Trojans.

The Islanders (26-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Foothill (Henderson, NV). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 12-14 record. In their last challenge, Foothill beat Durango (Las Vegas, NV), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Trojans face the Foothill Falcons (Henderson, NV) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 10. Valley Christian will attempt to advance on its 20-9 season record. The Falcons go into the game with a 12-14 record after their 3-0 league win over Durango (Las Vegas, NV).
