Mississippi High School Football - Coffeeville tops Ashland
October 11, 2024: Ashland, MS 38603 The Coffeeville Pirates football squad scored 46 points and limited the host Ashland Blue Devils to 20 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Friday.
The Pirates now hold a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Strayhorn for a 1A Region 3 test on Friday, October 18. Coffeeville will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 37-14 non-league loss to Walnut (Walnut, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-6.
With the defeat, Ashland drops to 0-7 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Myrtle (Myrtle, MS) to meet the Hawks in a 1A Region 2 test on Friday, October 18. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 5-3. Myrtle won 42-28 in their recent non-league test against Benton Academy (Benton, MS)
