The Monroe Central Seminoles football team (Woodsfield, OH), was topped 44-14 in Friday's league bout with the visiting Barnesville Shamrocks (Barnesville, OH)

With the win, Barnesville advances its record to 8-0 on the season. The Shamrocks host Shenandoah (Sarahsville, OH) to encounter the Zeps in a non-league bout on Friday, October 18. The Zeps go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Shenandoah lost 38-7 in their recent non-league bout against River (Hannibal, OH)

The Seminoles now own a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Frontier for a non-league bout on Friday, October 18. Monroe Central will encounter a Cougars team coming off a 34-32 non-league loss to Magnolia (New Martinsville, WV). The Cougars record now stands at 3-5.
