Nebraska High School Football - Burwell wallops Chambers/Wheeler Central
October 11, 2024: Burwell, NE 68823 The Burwell Longhorns football squad scored 52 points and limited the visiting Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades to 12 in the Longhorns league triumph on Friday.
The Longhorns now hold a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Twin Loup for a D2 District 6 (8 Man) test on Friday, October 18. Burwell will meet a Wolves squad coming off a 38-20 league win over Anselmo-Merna (Merna, NE). The Wolves record now stands at 3-4.
With the defeat, Chambers/Wheeler Central drops to 2-5 on the campaign. The Renegades host Central Valley (Greeley, NE) to meet the Cougars in a D2 District 6 (8 Man) test on Friday, October 18. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 6-1. Central Valley won 66-0 in their recent league test against Palmer (Palmer, NE)
