October 11, 2024: Inwood, WV 25428 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Cabell Midland Knights (Ona, WV) and the host Musselman Applemen (Inwood, WV), witnessed Cabell Midland's football squad knock off Musselman by a tally of 49-35.
The Knights (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Parkersburg (Parkersburg, WV). The Big Reds enter the Mountain State contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Parkersburg was outscored by George Washington (Charleston, WV), 30-23, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Applemen confront the Hedgesville Eagles (Hedgesville, WV) in a Eastern Panhandle contest, on Friday, October 18. Musselman will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 2-4 record after their 32-7 non-league loss to Liberty (Sykesville, MD).
