Kentucky High School Football - Walton-Verona tops Carroll County
October 11, 2024: Carrollton, KY 41008 The Walton-Verona Bearcats football squad scored 23 points and limited the host Carroll County Panthers to 0 in the Bearcats league triumph on Friday.
The Bearcats now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gallatin County for a 2A District 5 test on Friday, October 18. Walton-Verona will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 56-0 league loss to Bracken County (Brooksville, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-7.
With the defeat, Carroll County drops to 0-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY) to meet the Tigers in a 2A District 5 test on Friday, October 18. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 8-1. Beechwood won 42-0 in their recent league test against Owen County (Owenton, KY)
