New York High School Football - Carthage defeats Central Valley Academy
October 11, 2024: Ilion, NY 13357 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Carthage Comets (Carthage, NY) and the host Central Valley Academy Thunder (Ilion, NY), witnessed Carthage's football squad topple Central Valley Academy by a count of 21-7.
The Comets (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against New Hartford (New Hartford, NY). The Spartans enter the Section 3 B - East contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, New Hartford thwarted Camden (Camden, NY), 35-0, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Thunder confront the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils (Verona, NY) in a Section 3 B - East contest, on Friday, October 18. Central Valley Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Red Devils enter the contest with a 3-3 record after their 50-21 league win over Oneida (Oneida, NY).
