In Friday's league game, the Pearl River Central Blue Devils (Carriere, MS) football team overcame the host Forest Hill Patriots (Jackson, MS), by a tally of 35-20.

In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the Terry Bulldogs (Terry, MS) in a 6A Region 3 test, on Friday, October 18. Pearl River Central will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 5-2 record after their 38-21 league loss to West Jones (Laurel, MS).
